Enjoy a refreshing dip in the hotel's pool before the 6:00pm Kick-off Party.
Hotel: Embassy Suites Phoenix - Scottsdale | | Day 2 | Flagstaff | Scottsdale - Sedona - Flagstaff : Today your Tour Director reveals a Hidden Treasure. A drive through the Sonoran Desert brings you to Montezuma Castle National Monument, one of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in North America. After, head to Sedona and go off-roading through spectacular "Red Rock Country" in 4WD Jeeps. At the old Van Deren Cabin, learn what it was really like to be a cowboy in the Old West. Arrive in Flagstaff, a former Route 66 outpost. After dinner, go stargazing at the Lowell Observatory, a National Historic Landmark. (Full breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Radisson Woodlands Hotel | | Day 3 | Grand Canyon | Flagstaff - Grand Canyon Railway - Grand Canyon : Relive a Wild West shootout before climbing aboard the historic Grand Canyon Railway. As you pass through the Kaibab National Forest, keep your eye out for wildlife. Nothing can prepare you for the wonder of the Grand Canyon. Hike Bright Angel Trail and visit Grand Canyon Village. If you're truly adventurous, take an optional helicopter or fixed-wing flight over the canyon for once-in-a-lifetime, eagle-eye views. As the sun sets, join your Tour Director for an unforgettable walk along the rim. (Full breakfast)
Hotel: National Park Lodges | | Day 4 | Lake Powell | Grand Canyon - Monument Valley - Lake Powell (2 nights) : Try to rise early to catch the beautiful sunrise over the Canyon. Then journey along Desert View Drive before entering Navajo Country. Here you can poke around the Historic Cameron Trading Post for a piece of Native American art. Next stop: the Code Talkers Exhibit in Kayenta. Learn how the Navajos were one of America's greatest secret weapons in WWII. You'll also see why Monument Valley is a favorite location for movie directors as you bounce along in an open-air vehicle. Now c'mon, partner, pull off your boots and have yourself some fun at a poolside pizza party! (Full breakfast / Highlight dinner)
Hotel: Lake Powell Resort (2 nights) | | Day 5 | Lake Powell | Lake Powell at leisure : Enjoy a free day to roam the range. Optional activities include a fun float down one of the most beautiful stretches of the Colorado River, a cruise on spectacular Lake Powell to Antelope Canyon with views of Glen Canyon Dam, or to Rainbow Bridge, one of the most photographed geological wonders in the American West. Or maybe you'll dive into some of the many aquatic activities at Lake Powell Marina - the choice is yours! (Full breakfast)
| | Day 6 | Bryce Canyon National Park | Lake Powell - Zion National Park - Bryce Canyon National Park (2 nights) : Riding in the park's shuttle, we reckon you'll be awestruck by the towering cliffs and massive walls of Zion Canyon. Enjoy hiking? There's an easy trek to the Emerald Pools, with splendid views and beautiful waterfalls. There's also a more strenuous, but rewarding hike to Angel's Landing. After, drive along the Mount Carmel Highway for spectacular views of Zion Canyon, the Great Arch and Checkerboard Mesa. Soon you'll arrive at historic Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon. (Full breakfast)
Hotel: Ruby's Inn | | Day 7 | Bryce Canyon National Park | Bryce Canyon National Park sightseeing & at leisure : Exploring Bryce Canyon is like entering a weird and eerie world, with sandstone spires called hoodoos creating a mysterious landscape carved by Mother Nature. This afternoon you're free to blaze your own trail. You might try horseback riding or hiking. Then put on your Stetsons for a Farewell Cowboy Dinner with good food and fun. Afterward, mosey to the Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo to watch cowboys test their skills at the wildest competition in the West (Memorial Day to Labor Day). (Full breakfast / Farewell dinner) | | Day 8 | Depart Las Vegas | Bryce - Depart Las Vegas : Traveling down through the scenic Virgin River Gorge, make your way to fabulous Las Vegas, where your adventures in the Great West come to an end.
